Victory’s Take on the Police Motorcycle—Stealth Style

LED lighting is perfect for situations in which discretion is necessary, and the amount of space is small. Take the law enforcement motorcycle, for example. It’s hard enough to get the proper emergency vehicle safety lights on a patrol motorcycle, let alone a stealth version.

Motorcycle manufacture Victory, offers a stealth version of their Commander I police motorcycle. The bike features an all blacked-out paint scheme, giving it a sleek and mean look that will blend right into traffic. Victory uses a beautiful satin charcoal black paint with flake, which is highly durable and easy to clean. Even all the normal chrome bits were blacked-out.

The team at Victory applied the use of ghost-type decals reading “POLICE” on the saddle bags and the bat-wing wind faring, as well as the top box. The bike also comes complete with surface-mount LED policelights. These are very subtle lights with clear lenses, mounted around the top box and on the side of the faring.

Victory chose their 106cc V-twin engine as the power-plant, because, at 97hp, the bike has less in-your-face feel and can keep a lower profile in traffic. There are unique safety features on this bike including so called “integrated tip-over protection”. The bike is constructed in such a way that it will fall no more than 34 degrees, preventing lay-downs. Also included are a helmet lock, saddle bags that can hold an M-4 rifle, and an easy path to neutral by way of a heel-to-toe shifter.

The Victory Stealth Commander I has been implemented by four law enforcement agencies including: Huntington Park California Police, Johnson County, Kansas Sheriff, the Laredo Police Department in Texas, and the Marana Police Department in Arizona.

Lights N More offers many solutions for stealth LED lighting on emergency vehicles, including stealth law enforcement vehicles. We have a variety of different stealth LED lights including: interior/exterior LED light bars, LED visor lights, LED dash lights, surface and grille mount, and hideaway! We manufacture all the products we sell and we back them with a  5year warranty. Come see for yourself what Lights N More has to offer! For more information please visit www.lightsnmore.com

Exterior vs Interior LED Light bars

Are you looking for an LED light bar for your vehicle?  There are many different types, sizes, shapes and features to choose from.  Which type you choose is often dependent upon what you will be using it for.  If can be difficult to make the decision between all of the options.  It’s also hard to know which type you need.

External Light bars are the larger bars you see on top of emergency vehicles, tow trucks, and work trucks.  These are idea for vehicles that will need a light bar available for warning lots most of the time.  It’s primary purpose is usually a tow truck, an emergency vehicle or a construction truck.  These often need emergency vehicle warning lights running while they are in motion.

Dash lights are similar to exterior bar lights, except they are easily installed on the interior of your car.  These are often mobile and plug in to your cigarette lighter for quick removal when needed.  Dash lights are excellent for volunteer firefights, POVs of First Responders and also for police vehicles that need to remain unseen until they flip the switch.  Even though dash lights don’t shine bright LED light in a full circle like exterior LED light bars, they do still pump out a powerful display of light when you need to be seen.

External LED Light bars and Dash LED lights both serve the same purpose.  Both are fully functioning warning lights to alert other drivers of their surroundings.  Choosing the emergency lighting system for your vehicle can sometimes be overwhelming and confusing.  If the vehicle you’re looking to outfit will primarily need to be identified as the type of vehicle it is, then you will likely need the exterior bar.  For example, a tow truck needs to be defined as a tow truck while on the road.  If you are looking for a more versatile bar, or need lights that won’t been seen until you flip the switch, you are better suited for the Dash Light.  This is why undercover police officers choose the dash lights over the exterior bar.

No matter what your lighting needs are for your emergency vehicle, LightsNMore has what you need.  Let one of our experts help you make the best choice for your vehicle to help you remain seen and safe.
